KANDY KULT

KANDY KULT

There is no emotion,
there is candy.

There is no ignorance,
there is candy.

There is no passion,
there is candy.

There is no chaos,
there is candy.

There is no death,
there is the Kandy Kult.

DON'T FREE WILLY

Killer whales are jerks. Ever seen one help an old lady cross the street!? Of course you haven't. My uncle used to be called, "The Incredible Three-Armed Steve" - Then whale happened! - Now he's just called Steve.

LOGO WORK

LOGO WORK

My logo work focuses on strong silhouettes, being able to be displayed in black and white. I also like constructing custom text; three of the examples here were designed from scratch.

STARGATE POSTER

STARGATE POSTER

I really wanted to find purpose for Papyrus, but I couldn't; the vertical offsets were too dramatic, even for small lines of text. That was a leading reason for making this; although that didn't really pan out. I also think the movie is pretty great.

WHENEVER POSTER

WHENEVER POSTER

So my friends were pretty bad at giving times for their shows, they usually did it last minute (ha!), so this was a way to sass them. I was inspired by a lot of promotion done for European electronic music, so I wanted to do something in that vein and blend a rock band attitude into it; my solution was to add hand-drawn elements to a more geometric structure.

PGSF POSTER

PGSF POSTER

This was probably my first study of hierarchy - using color and size to guide the eyes. This poster was very text heavy, and this was my way to display that in a somewhat engaging manner.

NUKA COLA QUANTUM

NUKA COLA QUANTUM

There was a limited promotional release of these (not this one specifically) when Fallout 4 launched; since I was unable to get my own, I made my own. I designed the bottle as though it was a true product; there's game lore throughout the design, but I tried to stay somewhat true to Jone's layout structure.
